en-suite bathroom in kent...

the client wanted to keep the budget down by keeping the existing wall tiles which meant that the fixtures and fittings needed to remain in their existing positions.

the unusual border tiles were therefore our starting point for the colour scheme and so we gave the room a more contemporary feel by using a good quality blue/black slate on the floor combined with a pale grout in order to add interest to the large floor area.

we replaced the existing venetian blinds with shutters which were easier to operate on such a large scale and replaced the small shower cubicle with a large walk-in shower and the existing built-in bath with a large free standing roll top bath.

a local carpenter constructed a small painted cupboard with solid oak top to our specification to create storage for towels, etc, and a matching solid oak mirror for above the basin.
